Terms of Use
Effective date: July 18, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and PrinterHealer (“we”, “us”), an independent app operated from Ontario, Canada, governing your use of the PrinterHealer iPhone app and the printerhealer.com website (together, “PrinterHealer”). By downloading or using PrinterHealer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PrinterHealer.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PrinterHealer for your own purposes, subject to these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute PrinterHealer except as permitted by law.
2. PrinterHealer is a best-effort utility
PrinterHealer runs standards-based recovery for AirPrint/IPP printers and deeper, verified recovery for specific supported printer families. Some printers cannot be recovered by any app running on an iPhone. PrinterHealer reports whether a printer reached a working state; a successful diagnosis is not a promise of a successful repair. You are responsible for using PrinterHealer only with printers and networks you own or are authorized to manage.
3. Your network and Wi-Fi settings
To reconnect a printer, PrinterHealer may — only with the system approval prompts iOS presents — join or create local Wi-Fi configurations (including Wi-Fi Direct) and read a printer's local status. PrinterHealer does not change your router configuration, printer firmware, printer administrator settings, or certificate-trust settings, and it cannot disable a VPN. You are responsible for your own network and for any Wi-Fi credentials you provide.
4. Free use, and PrinterHealer Pro
Finding printers, running a diagnosis, and your first successful fix are free. A heal that does not succeed does not count against your free fix, so you begin paying only after PrinterHealer has fixed a printer for you at least once.
PrinterHealer Pro unlocks unlimited and automatic re-heals, Wi-Fi Direct rescue, wake-on-LAN, and one-tap re-heal for your saved printer. Pro is offered two ways, billed through your Apple App Store account:
- Yearly subscription — US $4.99/year (prices vary by region). There is no free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically each year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Lifetime — a one-time US $19.99 purchase (prices vary by region). This is a non-consumable purchase that does not renew.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings after purchase, and restore a previous purchase from within the app. We may change prices prospectively. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use PrinterHealer unlawfully, don't use it against printers or networks you are not authorized to manage, and don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or probe the service or the local devices of others.
6. Intellectual property
PrinterHealer, its name, logo, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. Information about your printers and network stays on your device — see our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
PrinterHealer is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that PrinterHealer will find, diagnose, or successfully reconnect any printer, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any missed or failed prints, lost time, loss of data, or damage to printers, devices, or networks, arising from your use of PrinterHealer. Our total liability for any claim relating to PrinterHealer will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.
9. Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for PrinterHealer or its content and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. In the event of any failure of PrinterHealer to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
10. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to PrinterHealer if you violate these Terms. You may stop using PrinterHealer at any time by deleting the app.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new date above; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
